THE 11th NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON NUCLEAR SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

Objective: Presentation and exchanging information of the new results and achievements on scientific researches, technological applications, education and training in the field of atomic energy.

Time: 5th  – 7th August 2015.

Venue: Eden Plaza Da Nang, 05 Duy Tan, Hai Chau, Da Nang City, Vietnam

Organizers: Vietnam Atomic Energy Society (VAES); Vietnam Atomic Energy Institute (VINATOM) and Department of Science and Technology (DOST) of Da Nang City

– Session A: Nuclear Power and Human Resource Development (Nuclear Power Engineering and Designs, Reactor Physics, Thermal Hydraulics; Nuclear Power Safety; Site Assessment of Nuclear Power Plants (NPPs); NPP Construction and Project Management; Nuclear Education & Training and Human Resource Development).

– Session B: Nuclear Physics, Nuclear Data, Accelerators, and Nuclear Analysis.

– Session C: Radiation Measurement, Radiation Safety and Environmental Monitoring, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for NPP Projects.

– Session D: Applications of Radiation and Nuclear Techniques in Industry, Agriculture,  Healthcare and others.

– Session E: Radiochemistry and Nuclear Chemistry, Nuclear Fuel Cycle, Nuclear Material Science and Technology, and Radioactive Waste Management.

 

Tentative Program of the Conference:

* 5th  August 2015:

  • Morning:  Opening  and  Plenary  Session (Oral Presentations and general discussions)
  • Afternoon: Plenary Session (Continued).

*   6th August 2015:

  • Morning: Specific  Sessions (Oral  presentations)  
  • Afternoon: Specific  Sessions ( Oral  and  Poster Presentations), Thematic Seminars/Panels.

* 7th August 2015:

  • Morning: Specific  Sessions (Oral  presentations), Thematic Seminars/Panels;
  • Afternoon:  Plenary Session for Conference Summary and Closing.

 

Conference publications:

– Proceedings of the summary reports.

– Journal of Nuclear Science and Technology: A number of reports will be selected for publication in the VAES’s Journal of Nuclear Science and Technology (published in English). Authors are required to register with the Editorial Board of the Journal.

– Some high quality reports will be selected to send for review and publication in a special issue of one of the following international journals:

Deadlines:

– 30 April 2015: Deadline for submission of full-text reports.

– 15 June 2015: Deadline for notification of the acceptance of the author’s report and form of presentation (oral or poster) at the conference.

 

Report Templates:

All reports should be prepared on the attached Report Templates in Vietnamese and English (reporting and presentations in English are encouraged )

 

Requirements for Oral and Poster presentations:

– Oral presentations must be prepared in PowerPoint format.

– Posters must be prepared by authors in one-side printed papers (on A3-size).

– Oral and poster reports are encouraged to be presented in English.

 

Registration Fee:

– Local participants: 500, 000 VND/person

– Foreign participants: 100 USD/person and 60 USD/accompanying person, to be paid in cash at the registration desk.

– University student participants are exempted from conference registration fee.
